Pauline Hanson has become obsessed with welfare fraud despite refusing to answer questions about $200,000 in taxpayers’ money she drained from the bank account of her former United Australia Party.

This obsession with welfare runs conspicuously in tandem with the Liberal government’s pogrom on the poor. The government is currently under fire over its data-matching system to sniff out benefits recipients that have been overpaid.

The controversial system, which was cynically established with the full knowledge it would affect innocent Australians, was also intended to economise the already understaffed Centrelink down to critical staff levels. This has resulted in those victims of mismatching being unable to contact anyone in the department to clear them.

Rather that defending the battlers falling foul of this Federal Government scam, Hanson is joining in with the boot and proposing a fingerprint encoded “identity card” be issued to all Australians to curb the sort of fraud she herself is guilty of.

She is plugging this very ‘conservative’ idea on her party’s website. It reads in part:

“For those who wish to access taxpayer funded services whether it be doctor, hospital, pharmaceuticals, education, welfare or any other taxpayer funded service it will be a legal requirement to prove that you are an Australian citizen or permanent resident entitled to benefits or otherwise pay the full cost of the service… Australians who wish to use taxpayer-funded services will be required to hold a ‘National Identity Card’ with their photo and an electronic chip. Machines will be used to scan the card at the point of service e.g. at a doctor’s surgery, Centrelink and other government departments that require identification.”

Hanson was jailed in 2003 for something she didn’t do, but they won’t go after her now for something she did do

Nationalists agree that the Australian system should not be open to abuse from blow-ins but we have a much simpler idea — END IMMIGRATION!

If Pauline Hanson was truly a proud Australian patriot she would have come to the very elementary understanding that if you wish to stop strangers abusing your hospitality you don’t invite them into your home.

Anyhow, policy to her is simply a hobby; a bunch of sentences needed to stop people thinking she is only after payola. And we all know that Pauline just loves her payday, which is why she kept throwing herself in the ring for a senate seat at every election.

Hanson has been accused of misappropriating more than $200,000 from a bank account to which she and a supporter were joint signatories to. It is said that she simply walked into the bank and signed over the funds from her Pauline Hanson’s United Australia Party into her own account and high-fived herself. She reacted like Regan in The Exorcist when quizzed about the whereabouts of the dough in 2009 by a Today Tonight reporter.

As she mentioned (in non-sequiturs) during that interview, “I am not going to sit back and be suppressed, have my way of life taken away from me, my standard of living.”

Politics has been the golden ticket to that standard of living for Pauline. She got a taste for that free money when her One Nation party qualified for public funding in 1998 to the tune of $4.7 million. Then again, in 2004-2007, she raked in $413,000 from the mug taxpayer. Yet, like all politicians with their snouts in the public trough, she is quite haughty about other people’s circumstances and judgmental on a level that equals class prejudice.

Hers is the snobbish conservatism of a dumb rube that has lucked their way into a VIP lounge. Her views are at their most expressive after a few flutes of Yellowglen Vintage. This puts her in perfect company with those from the Liberals who are at odds with the soft Liberals running the show.

One must rely on the commoners for their vote, but one is under no obligation to support the wretched sweaties once one has been elected

LNP MP Steve Dickson who once served with the Newman government has crossed over to Pauline Hanson’s One Nation Party.

There is all sorts of static in the air for the Libs, with Cory Bernadi and fat slob George Christensen eyeing off free bucks from mining oligarch Gina Rinehart to start yet another conservative party.

Queensland is certainly not spoiled for choice when it comes to conservatives, but as to a party that stands for nationalist principles and doesn’t want to kick the poor for being displaced from work by foreigners that make Liberal business people rich, Queenslanders are still waiting.

Meanwhile, Hanson revels in her own celebrity, her home bedecked with garish memorabilia of herself like Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard.
